Me, too. Even with games. So what? No need to bump a 2-year old thread.

But, to clarify my earlier post, I have a dump of the voyeur 2 CD-i disc on my back-up drive, so I guess it's safe :) And to clarify my earlier post, if sectors were bad, you got corrupt data. Period. The problem is that the CD-i uses Data Mode 2 XA, so you can dump a damaged disc, but without the ...

That doesn't mean much. If you can't dump the disc without ecc errors, then the data is not safe and the game may crash somewhere.

Did the 2nd disc actually exist? Maybe the CD-i version was simply never completed.

Too bad that you're from the Netherlands and that I didn't see this thread earlier. CD-Rs with damaged sectors are something I deal with daily, it wouldn't be a problem to recover the data.

No, I mean any cheap CD player (not CD-i player) will sound better.

Again, the BIOS ROM file has nothing to do with a game. If you only downloaded a game, you don't have a ROM file.

A ROM file has 512kb and a name like "cdi205a.rom". You have to dump it from a CD-i player.

Re: Emulator ROM?

So, do you actually have a ROM file? That's not a game but the BIOS ROM of a CD-i player. The emulator doesn't run without it.

All CD-i players are quite bad when it comes to CD-DA playback quality. There's no oversampling or whatsoever to improve audio quality. I've tested a 450, 470, 210, 350 and 370, and none of them could even compete with the cheapest dedicated CD player.

If i want to burn the iso file with Discjuggler, i must to choice the source .bin or .cue?
ALWAYS choose the .cue file, as that will tell the program with options to use for burning. It's not possible to tell the disc format from a .bin file.

Ideally, you should have a cue sheet for the image, otherwise the burning program may not be able to know which format the image has. CD-i discs always use Data Mode 2, which was a quite uncommon format and may not be detected automatically. Moreover, you should not just choose any burning program b...

One set connects to the battery pack, the other connects to the heat detector. The inner set is for the heat detector.

I've searched for the pinouts a while ago also, but wasn't able to find any information. All I can tell you is that the power brick outputs 21V DC at 1.7 Ampere. As for the battery, it has 14.4V. I've wrote a guide how to replace the cells, it is still online: http://www.retro-net.de/cdi/370_akku_de...

The original seal has a strip you could pull, so one side would be cut open. The strip is a thicker layer, and you cannot open the seal with your hands (without pulling the strip). Those are US versions shown in your photo, aren't they? Even though it's obvious that they were re-sealed, they don't ...

Never mind, things won't change anyway. I've already wasted 25€, I'm not going to waste time as well with a senseless and childish discussion. Perfect example of how to destroy a once promising emulator.
