Re: MY CD-i 220 with weird looking Timekeeper Chip

It's ok with me if anyone reply to this to keep this up. I do know want to know how this differ and is it any good/better that I have this and maybe a good use for anything. I do know that this is a CD-i 220/57. I don't know what 57 means, maybe the motherboard number or something. The sticker on th...

Pretty low, I know. Also, it's times like this I wish the timekeeper chip wasn't dead in my CD-i unit. Know how you feel. For some reason on mine, the time clock still works, but the memory is gone. But still, my CD-drive is still shot and can't play anything unless I emulate it on the CD-i emulator.

I can't consider this a legit High score do to emulator, since my CD-i 220/57 still having a CD-drive problem. My IT teachers told me it can be replace a same model type or I can try finding a different CD-drive that uses IDE. If it uses SATA, then I also need a SATA-to-IDE converter. I'm not sure t...

Hi everyone. I'm rocketboy3005 and my parents gave me their old CD-i 220/57. Sadly, the Flood of Dec. 2010 did yet another damage to the CD-i. I know that the Rubber belt can be replace and the squeaky tray can be grease up. But for some reason, the CD player is not working anymore. Also, I saw that...

MY CD-i 220 with weird looking Timekeeper Chip

each time I look throughout the net. I keep seeing the same Timekeeper chip that says its name on top of the chip. Even though they have different model numbers for different CD-is. But for my CD-i 220, it is a bit different. It doesn't say TimeKeeper chip on the front of the chip, but it says this:...
