CD-i Emulator compatible with Laser Lords ??
Does anybody know if the latest version of CD-i emulator is compatible with Laser Lords? It is a non-DVC CD-I title from 1992. I ask because the CD-I emulator site has very limited compatibility details, and the latest beta versions of the free version no longer work, so I can't test myself. I assum...

Probably something is jamming. Or the lid switch isn't working right. Some early CDM-12.1 drives have a problem with the motor jamming. I don't know if the CDI players were effected, but The Atari Jaguar CD was (it was made by Philips btw). Search google for JaguarCD repair guides and you will find ...

What kind of battery the 350 has, I'm not sure... the same one as the earlier players (cdi-210/20 or cdi-220/20 players). They all use the same timekeeper module (later versions have a bit more memory I believe). The early CDI-350 and cdi-360 players are very similar to the big player of the time. ...

I believe all the earlier cdi players use the same CDM-9/44 laser mechanism. If the mechanism is the problem, you could buy a cheap old cdi-210/00 or cdi-210/20 and transplant the mechanism. But some sellers also sell the CD mechanism on ebay as parts (most of the times this is more expensive). CDM-...

I'm not a professional repair man, But I would remove the DVC and check if you still don't get any output on your TV. If you still don't have any picture the problem is most likely on the mainboard. That isn't easy to diagnose, and requires the right (expensive ) tools, and a service manual for your...

It sounds like a problem with the loading mechanism. I would say: -replace the loading belt -add a little grease to the loading gears (that should stop the squeaking) If that doesn't solve the problem, check if the laser mechanism works correctly by using a good audioCD, and play it to the end (any ...

fixing common problems of CDI players
I think it could be helpful to add a topic with (links to) howto guides for fixing common problems with cdi players (I hope you agree :-). I have some experience with cdi players, so the next few paragraphs would be my personal advise. If anyone has more simple solutions, or more information to add,...

Item seems to be removed from eBay. So It wasn't sold through ebay. Item could have been removed by ebay because of the CD-R games that were in the package (that isn't allowed), or the seller closed his ebay account (that way unfinished items also don't show up). If the seller just ended the auction...
