Thank you for posting these links, K1ngArth3r! I really enjoyed the reviews. That guy is right with his critique, but he's funny and not insulting imo.

Hello all, I don't have much time for my cd-i hobby anymore because of my work. Also, most of the time I was playing video games was with the ps2 I bought a year ago. I thought the system would fade by the competition between the ps3, xbox360 and Wii. Time for me to buy one. :D I really enjoyed play...

what exactly does it take to excite CD-i collectors? it seems nothing! I mean this is the most rare game ever released and people don't even care. Master System collectors literally wet their pants over the SMS smurfs game which is not even as rare! if the rarest cd-i game does nothing for CD-i col...

You can find a link on my cd-i webpage. I suggested to try to make a disc image, because if your computer can read the disc, there might be nothing wrong with it. In that case the problem is caused by the player. I successfully made disc images before from cd-i discs that wouldn't play, including on...

This metal strip is for protection. You should lift it up with a knife or something.

Actually, Philips included some piece of metal with the
player/cartridge specially for this purpose. Most people lost it, I guess.

Hi bonav, i hope you don't mind I answer your question? The game you mean is called 'De Zaak van Sam'. It's a very short detective game ('adventure game'), which does not require any detective skills, but just trying all possible moves until you find the right steps to end the game. It's not very in...

This device, tgn-rogue, is for converting a tv input signal into a vga input signal, so you can use a computer monitor (with vga) instead of a television.

The ad says " It works even if your computer isn't turned on!" because you only need a monitor to display the signal. There is no capturing.

Does the same thing happen with other DV titles? I also tried Lost Eden and Mad Dog McCree, with no success. What player model and cartridge type are you using? I started with a CDI 470/20 with build in DVC, then tried a CDI 210/40 with a small DVC, and finally tried my CDI 370 because of its S-Vid...

video capturing from a cd-i player

Does anyone has some experience with capturing video from a cd-i player? (And I don't mean filming the television screen with a video camera, or using cd-i emulator or something... ). I could use some help: I recently bought a device with RCA and S-Video input connections which connects to my comput...

Did they even try the game? What are the arguments supporting their claim? Or is it popular cd-i bashing in the same fashion as Defunct Games? Hey. I write for Defunct Games and take a bit of umbrage with what you call "bashing". Please don't. What I meant is that SOME of Defunct Games' cd-i review...
