Re: Green Book now publicly available?
It's now also on ICDIA in the new CD-i Full Functional Specification (Green Book) section under CD-i DOCUMENTATION.

Re: Looking for a copy of The 7th Guest.
Check out this article from February 2017: The 7th Guest CD-i DVC Compatibility / Cake Puzzle Bug.
It's about the difference between the V1 and V2 versions and even offers a patch to change a V1 disc image into V2.
I haven't been able to get it working yet, though...

Re: Version 0.5.3-beta2 of CD-i Emulator released!
You can, if you "rewind" the date of your PC to before 2012/01/01 or use a tool so that only CD-i Emulator sees such a date.NETGURU wrote:If i buy a version of 0.5.2 can i use the 0.5.3 beta still? I want to play Burn Cycle on my PC without having to use the god awful MS DOS port.

Re: BGM CD (Background Music CD)
I used the version of CdiEmu that has the ROMS bundled in the ZIP file that's floating around the net. The black and white "display" box will flash "AEI--" and then the player will continually reboot. That would be the cracked version, and I know the ROMs it has. Interesting that the application "h...

Re: BGM CD (Background Music CD)
I get the impression that the 76kb music player from 1995, included on every one of these discs, was based on the original 1989 CD-I music player application, adapted for AEI's purposes, and eventually supposed to enable sophisticated features on later machines. It seems to have provisions for reco...

Since everybody is responding to the ping
I'm also still around, and checking the forums once or twice each week.
Not that much seems to happen anymore here (or anywhere else in CD-i land, unfortunately)...

Unfortunately, he didn’t remember any cheats or easter eggs. Now when it comes to codes, help with playing the game or anything like that, I can't help you I'm afraid. It has been more than 20 years and I remember little to nothing about it. The assembly sources (as far as I have them) contain a si...
