Re: back into cdi and have a question on the 370

I assume you mean the timekeeper battery? Then no, there's no such timekeeper in the 370 and the battery that powers the nvram can be replaced.

Had that problem often with 220's. It's caused by the tracking rails on which the laser unit moves. You need to remove the dried-out grease and re-grease the rails.

I would probably buy it, but I'm very low on money this month. Too bad... :(

Have one, too. Complete boxed and new. Let me know if you need additional photos.

That's not a 370. ;) I had one of those too, but sold it after I got a 370.

The 370 is the rebranded GoldStar CD-i and has the DVC built-in. Only the bulky 350 and 360 are needing a docking station for an additional DVC.

Good luck. The last few on eBay sold for about 200 Euro (just system+power supply). I don't think you can get one much cheaper these days.

I was about to do the CD-i Bios dat in late 2006, but due to lack of time, I decided to finally stop doing any more work for TOSEC (after 3,5 years of making dats, mainly Amiga, but also helped with 3DO, CD-i and others).

I did it with CloneCD as well but didn't really care about the setting. I just let it read out the whole pregap, then I stopped the process and manually extracted the data track (which is inside the pregap).

That's what I was saying. I'm not doubting that the disc was released in 1995, but the video was most likely done much earlier. It was for internal use anyway, so it might be a bonus, an old unused commercial that is.

Very nice the first one actually uses a short clip of in-game Microcosm CD-i footage, while, in 1995, this was long cancelled... I'd say the video is older than 1995 when Microcosm was still in development. It doesn't mean anything that the disc the video was extracted from was made/released in 1995.

Nice stuff you have there, thomas. :) I'm trying for weeks now to get my collection up at the Room of Doom as well, but their server is so slow that I can't even log in most of the time.
