I've read the article, and still find it hard to figure if a disc is PAL or not... mostly because i've never seen a disc stating PAL or anything else... Just tried out on my 450, if you place a CD and push down the round pin, it starts playing, even with the lid open!

If there's no CD on, we can see the lens trying to focus, looking for a CD. It doesn't find any, so changes for "DISC" message.

In "just" 8 to 10 years it was know to everybody that this would start happening. so... with havent they thought on placing a external batt like CPU's have on their motherboards?!?... Scrappin and drilling and soldering on...

And another question finding some answers! My 450 saves scores, FTS's and time/date . . . . until I turn it off.. and it looses everything! so, dead batterie it is ... I do remember my oooooooooooold Amstrad CPC having a lid for the FOUR AA batts... here, all we needed would be a small lid for a cr2...

Rephrasing the question above: (No relation whatsoever with the user above... eheheh... ) I've found some discs on ebay and the seller says "US NTSC disc" but I think he's saying that because the discs have "Philips Media of America" on them! Is there such thing as NTSC discs? Or all discs work with...
