I'm also wondering what are some of the console best games? The game seen in the pictures, "International Tennis Open", is quite good if a bit easy. "Zenith" is a nice simple addictive game, "The Apprentice" is a fun platformer that is more than the sum of its parts, and the port of "Tetris" is qui...

Another Hex title, "eScape" (or something like that) has been on my to-buy list for a while (then again, so is "Time-Life Photography", so I'm not exactly picky though my collection is still fairly small).

My last few purchases have been "Arcade Classics" (because I love Namco) which hasn't come in the mail yet, "CDi Online Issue 1" (a bit disappointing, though I still got some retro enjoyment from it) and "Compton's Interactive Encyclopedia" (no comment). I like "Antistatic". A Very...interesting rel...

I have an odd question on the portable CD-i players: Were they well made in terms of build-quality? Could they handle being sent in the mail a long distance? I am just curious since I wouldn't mind getting one as a novelty but I live in Australia and our postal service is, um, less than perfect.

For some reason, I'd like to see a device that could play CD-i titles (including video releases, reference titles and stuff like "Antistatic", not just games), Mega-CD games and 3DO games. As an added bonus, it would also play audio CDs (obviously), VCD discs (only natural) CD-G (ditto) and a coupl...

My favourite episode of "Twilight Zone" would be "Twenty Two", one of six episodes to be shot on tape instead of film. In this case it adds to the eerie effect.

A new CD-i game, even a simple breakout-clone or a cross-word title, would be incredibly exciting. Another small but highly important step to getting CD-i some respect in the retro-gaming community.

VCD collecting?

Wouldn't mind getting into that myself (I only have two VCDs (one of them coming in the mail), and two "DV on CD-i" titles). Mainly of interest to me are forgotten documentries and other unusual things unlikely to appear on DVD...

Outside of video games, computers, movies, and CD-i (which I guess includes bits of the previous three), mine are: vintage television shows, cantilever bridges, soft drinks, I've been getting into anime/manga (hence the username), also I have a dream to bring back Art Deco as more than just a novelt...

My personal favourites: International Tennis Open Tetris (it hurts me that this version of Tetris is way better than the one on my beloved GBA) Cartoon Carnival (not much substance, but the mini-games are fun, the "cartoon clip" gimmick is cool and the presentation is superb) Pac-Panic Chaos Control...

Might not be the system but the controller. I'm no expert on CD-i (far from it) so I don't know the actual name, but the controller I use (the one with the silly fake screw-in "joystick" on the d-pad) has a switch that changes the cursor speed (it also has one for using the controller upside down. I...

Finally, if the CD-i was indeed DESIGNED for games, then congrats for running a blog about the worst piece of gaming hardware ever made The person who said that most have never heard of the Tiger Game.com (which did have some innovative features, but for which the best title was a Wheel of Fortune ...

Agreed with the person who mentioned getting "Mario's Wacky Worlds" completed. It had promise. Also, not sure if it could have done it (as it would require very fast response times for finding and showing video clips), but I heard that on another ill-fated electronic product, the NEC PC-FX, there wa...

Trust me, the Wikipedia list is not accurate. They didn't even have "Zenith" on their list until I added it some weeks ago, and I'm hardly a CD-i expert. Plus, they exclude a lot of "childrens" titles that could be considered games ("Hanna-Barbera's Cartoon Carnival" for example)
