A squealing disc tray usually needs a little greasing. Here's a link to an article on Interactive Dreams: http://cdii.blogspot.com/2009/05/three-common-problems-with-cd-i-players.html It also has a very helpful video on how to solve the problem. As for a remote, as far as I know you can only use the...

Thanks guys, it's just a little hobby, so don't expect real quality!
Also I did some non CD-i games in there from time to time.
I'll be adding more as I've got the time, and I'll put an update here once I do. Thanks for watching

Hey everyone, here's a video from Gamester81 (a huge video game collector) who's talking and showing the Philips 350 and 370 portable models.

Haha, my father used to sketch those things up for fun. He has no idea what the games are like, so it's all free interpretation from the box and maybe some screenshots. We've stopped doing that though, it was to much of a hassle to get those in on time and such. Hope you don't go to deep into my bac...

My CD-i vids

Since some of you seem to like these and since this is the main CD-i forum, I'll just post the new video's I make that are related to CD-i. Feel free to comment and give me any feedback on improvements or pointers. I'm not as knowledgeable on CD-i as some of you here, so if something I say is off, p...

Unused audio in Kether?

As some of you might have seen, I recently did a video on Kether (thanks for putting it on the Interactive Dreams page by the way Bas). As a little side project I'm trying to get all the music from the games I cover out there too for people to download. So I did this for Kether now, and amongst the ...

I don't have a NTSC machine myself, but I think they should work fine. At least it works alright the other way around (games from the US on PAL systems). There's no copy protection or region lockout either. I can't really give you a definite answer though, sorry. I am kind of curious too though, wha...

First of all, welcome! Great to see you here too and to hear that you've picked up a CD-i for yourself :) As for my models. I've got a few in the 200 series and a couple of 450's and 470's. I believe the difference between the 470 and 490, is that the 490 has an internal DVC. For the 470 you still n...

A different look on the Zelda CD-i games

Hey guys, Usually I don't promote my video's just like this, but in this case I'll make an exceptiong. I think many of you will agree here when I say that the Zelda games by Animation Magic get more negative coverage lately then they really deserve. Well, I do review CD-i games, and this time I deci...

If it's a self made CD-R, then it's not worth much. It's very easy to download and burn the game yourself, and that only costs a few cents for a CD-R.

VIDEO: Squeaky CD tray fix + look insde on a CD-i 470

NOTE: This is not my video, it's from my buddy Luke over in Japan who I send this unit. As he loves repairing stuff he imidiatly made a video on how to fix the squeaky CD tray that the unit was having. He also takes a little tour inside of the unit, very interesting and fun stuff! http://www.youtube...
