I'm looking forward for the final product. Do you already know the design of the boxart and the cd? I don't know how OlderGames will package it. They may prefer to go with a style similar to the Sega CD and Neo Geo CD versions. My preference would be something close to the FM Towns version: http://...

This one played nicely, and I guess I could say fast, on the Goldstar, but not at all on the portable CD-i350, either NTSC or PAL video display. You can actually see something jumping, but is a bunch of lines over a blue screen. Have you had any problems with other games on the CD-i350? Maybe Super...

After playing the demo of Frog Feast for cd-i on the emulator, i tested it on my cd-i 450. It works great. I noticed three things: 1 If you let the frog jump to the left, from the leaf on the left, then the frog 'moves outside the screen'. Does this have to do with differences between PAL/NTSC and/...

I became interested in the system when David Tucker was looking into it. He found out a lot about the CD-I years before anyone became interested in it. I finally got one almost 10 years after that. (I own 5 now). I acquired the CDI-602, followed by a CDI-605, for development. I was on a purchasing s...

It was an old version, or the input was compiled out, I'm not sure which.. I've posted a new version. This runs full speed on a CDI-370 and slows down a little on a CDI-450. Although two players is selectable, the second controller is not read. Also, this version has the flies disabled. I wonder wha...

Status information?
What do the status numbers mean at the top?
Is the second one emulator frame rate or cd-i frame rate?
And, if it drops, does that mean that the CD-I is bogging down?
And the third, I see values as high as 230%. What is this measuring? It
seems to hover around 104-119%.

hey do you know if Memerex works? I'm not sure if I've ever used Memorex. They should work though. Remember to record at the lower speed your CD-Rom supports. (Here comes the product plug) :) And if you want to test out a CD and burning software, try burning a copy of Frog Feast, and trying it in t...

Re: which brands of CDr and CDrw work on the CDI?
I'm not sure of CD-RWs will work on the CD-i, many older systems have a problem with CD-RWs. I've had no problem with most name brand CD-Rs (Maxell).Vincent XIII wrote:does anyone know?

New Frog Feast preview posted.
The first working demo of the new Frog Feast is up. There is no user input. But, it does display the credit screens seen in other versions, and the title screen with sprites and text. I haven't implemented input in this version. That is next on the agenda. This version should run correctly on either...

This is still the 360-NTSC version, right? You don't mention if your 450s were PAL or NTSC. Or is that what you meant with Philips vs. Magnavox? Yeah, I haven't posted the fixed version. No need to, now that Frog Feast is starting to show progress... They are actually a Magnavox 550 (NTSC) (Looks j...

Testing of the new routines for Frog Feast
Ok, in testing out the CD-RTOS routines, I converted on old demo to the CD-I. It can be downloaded from http://www.chaos89.com/DemoZone/ or directly at http://www.chaos89.com/DemoZone/CDIChaos89.zip http://www.chaos89.com/DemoZone/cdishot.gif I need people to test out this file. It's been tested on ...

I got it in today. The system is in excellent shape. And, the case is very nice.kstyle25 wrote:yeah...I guess, as both of my batteries are dead. The system from that seller is great. Everything is perfect and with a hard case with custom inserts that's worth 50.00 alone. You'll be pleased I believe.
