After I sold my CDI-740 player on ebay, my brother decided he wanted to sell his player also. But since he doesn’t have an ebay account I’m selling it for him. So it turns out you have a second chance at getting a CDI740. Good luck CDI-740 on ebay PS. I'm also selling my CDI-220 player and Zelda gam...

Thank you for your bid. It seems that a lot of people would want one for 50,- euros. (I got 4 emails/marktplaats bids/forum bids from people). But it also seems that is it. I decided I want to sell it for a bit more (something like 70,- euros), So I will be putting my CDI 740 on www.ebay.nl this Thu...

I decided to sell some of my CDI stuff. (takes up too much space and I don't really use it anyway). One of the items I sell is a CDI-740 player, the one that some of you may be interested in. Normally I don't like spamming my advertisements in forums, but since the CDI 740 I sell is really rare, and...

It may be a default modem and connection, but it doesn't work on a default with a normal dial-up connection. I tried a different modem: same result, so it has something to do with the dial-up server. Using a dial-up server in windows XP has the same result as the hardware server: it dials, it is pic...

I tested my dial-in server with a normal KPN telefone line, and I have the same problem. So I'm assuming the home-telefone-central I use isn't the problem. That leaves the used modem and/or the dial-in server itself. (or the home-central, and modem and/or dial-in server offcourse) Tomorrow I'll get ...

some progress: It turned out that you can input a prefix multiple times (and only the first charecter is replaced from the last input). So you can make the CDI call any telephone number you want! So I tried to call XS4all. And the phone is picked up! for the first time it said "logging on"! Saddly t...

btw, I also thought about emulating a modem. In the text above it states that I could use a PPP connection. But that is what my ZOT-828 dial-up server provides, and that doesn't seem to work with the CD-online disc. That is why I first want prove, before i try to make a program that emulates the mod...

I didn't have any time to test much things. But I came to a point were I would want prove that the dial-up that the CD-I does, is a standard-PC like-dial-up with the same protocol. So I need a normal dial-up service that works with the CDI still. (a dial-up number with 7 digits max) So I need a dial...

I don't know anything about the dial-up servers used. I probably was something very generic, that also was used for the PC . In Holland the CD-online users could also use the service with there PC's. The dutch Cd-online service was provided by world-online, now part of Tiscali. Some time ago, I coul...

the maze files were on the UK server. (I believe 3 mazes) You can still play the game though, just select "practice arena" and select "more practice" for a slightly different one. the home page for ramraid is still in the web archive: http://web.archive.org/web/19961031124227/http://www.cd-online.co...

in the link you provided the html pages start with "x" , I looked at different ones, maybe they have them, i'll check.

Does anybody have any technical specs on the modem connection that is made when dialing in on a CD-I ? I have been experimenting with getting the CDI online, but without much luck. First I tried a PC dial-up server. I used the windows 98 setup on this page: http://consolevision.com/members/mterlouw/...

I've seen then a few times on www.marktplaats.nl but never for that amount of money, that is really expensive! I don't know for certain about this model, but other Hifi sets from philips from the same modell series, aren't build very well. The system allows dust to collect on a lot of fital parts of...
