Fan asks for "Philips CD-i Classic Mini", Philips answers: "We will try our best"
"Right then, @Philips, it's time" - Chris Scullion asks on twitter. These retro classic mini consoles are a major success. If Nintendo, Sega, SNK and now Sony can do it: Why can't Philips release a CD-i Classic? He even made an add for it. Amazingly, what I didn't expect, was the answer of Philips: ...

New CD-i article in Retro Gamer Magazine 173 (October 2017)
If you're a Philips CD-i fan you probably noticed that there is very little coverage of CD-i in general. This month is a very exciting month for CD-i fans with a very nice extensive CD-i article in UK Magazine Retro Gamer (For dutch fans: Each magazine store like Bruna or Read Shop can order it, jus...

Dear members, The spamming gives me more problems than I can solve: To control my own inbox again, I have to close the forum until further notice. We probably have to update the software, or if it doesn't help, remove my admin account. As Devin is only here very limited, maybe we have to re-consider...

Re: Hello everyone!
Hi Omegalfa, Nice to see you back! Your old site has a lot of good memories in my head, but I understand something like that won't happen again in our cd-i scene anymore. It would be nice to host any old stuff you still might have here on the forum or in Interactive Dreams, which is dorming but not ...

Re: The Art of Performing - Dutch CD-i by NOB
Apparently it has been for sale through the Multi Media Club and the Oog & Oor Magazine (so, the regular CD-i retail channels at the time) for 15 dutch guilders!
It's mentioned in the magazines:

Re: The Art of Performing - Dutch CD-i by NOB
Hi Seb,
Interesting CD-i! There were LOTS of professional discs made, even a few in 2000 if I remember correctly. It looks like a nice presentation if you want to know more about NOB. That was obviously a time where something like this was still possible!
I never heard of it. Keep it safe

Re: Was the CD-i 370 only released in Europe?...
Hi,
The portable models never were widely available in consumer shops, but rather promoted at business models (at least that's how I experienced it in The Netherlands). As far as I know the 370 was for sale here, but only via business channels.

Re: Found something called "CD-i Attractions 95". Rare?
Hi,
I've never seen it. The only interesting bits would be if some unreleased games are promoted on it... It's a nice find! Have you been able to see what titles are promoted on it?

Mario Takes America on CD-i: More details and screenshots
Do you remember the mysterious CD-i game "Mario takes America"? In 2006, Interactive Dreams posted some details about that game here: http://cdii.blogspot.nl/2006/12/mario-takes-america-cd-i.html But that was eight years ago! Recently a former employee from Cigam shared more details and even screens...

Nintendo is possibly infringing on two Philips patents
Interesting news articles popped up today saying Philips is suing Nintendo. IGN reports: "Technology company Philips has allegedly filed a complaint against Nintendo stating that the latter has infringed on two Philips patents in the U.S., according to a document on Scribd." Interesting links to fol...
