I have a cd-i 220. The door opens fine but when I place a disc in the tray and press close, I have to give it a little push after it closes part of the way. It reads discs fine. Just wondering if there is an easy fix for this. I don't think I am the only person with this issue.

Typically, the wire from the controller to the cd-i gets a short. The wire was very frail. You can easily test if this is the case if you have a voltmeter. Open up the controller, run a continuity test from each solder joint to each individual pin. Chances are one of them has a short. Since you cant...
