From all portable players, only the 370 has a replaceable backup battery. Moreover, it has 32 kb of nvram (unlike 8 kb as most other players). So your question is easy to answer. :D

Most CD-i Ready discs can be copied using CloneCD. Sometimes small errors still occur, but I've never had a non-working copy from CloneCD. Yep, though the problem is whether his CD/DVD drive is capable of reading CD-i Ready discs correctly. It's not that much a question of the software you use; if ...

Does anyone know how long the original battery was able to power the CD-i 370? I've heard something about 1.5 hours at most. I can watch VCDs for more than 120 minutes with the new battery, it should even run longer when the DVC isn't used, as the load is much lower then. :D Anyway, my battery refur...

I'm not sure if Nero will copy a CD-i disc at all, as it normally refuses to accept discs with a custom filesystem (I would use CDRWin instead). Apart from that, there should be no problems as long as you burn the disc with low speed. Though there are a few games in CD-i Ready format, which you prob...

Wasn't Voyeur II still made for MS-DOS? If so, give DOSBox a try.

I wish I had the time to maintain a PC, 3DO and CD-i section, but I don't have. :( A CD-i section would require someone else maintaining it.

The 3DO section is planned to go online in late January, by the way.

Of course, it's advertised on the last page of almost every CD-i player's manual. :D

RF is the connection that is also used for the aerial cable. Hard to describe in English, as you already said that you don't know what "aerial" is ("Antennenkabel" in German, but I guess that won't help ;)). It's the frequency modulation that the TV channels use.

Neither the CD-i 210 nor the 470 has RF output, so there's no need to tune to a particular channel. Just select the A/V channel. Depending on if you use SCART or the RCA jacks, you have to set up your TV to take the correct input signal. Note that SCART is not equal to RGB (SCART is just the name of...

Level 6 on "hard" is FURNIS (not FURNJ), seems like there went something wrong when I copy-and-pasted the codes.

Sort of, yes. They are embedded in the game's code. If you make an iso of the disc and search for "ZULU", they will turn up in human-readable form. :D

I remember Flashback playing with my CD-i pad, and the buttons weren't as responding as I wanted them to be. Flashback requires a lot of button-combinations, and witht he CD-i pad it was easy to loose touch. Never had problems with that? Nope, I didn't have those problems. It plays just like the Am...

Played Flashback a lot in the last days and weeks. I must say that the CD-i version is much better than I remembered.

Just finished re-assembling the battery:

I'm quite happy with the result. :) Now I have to see how long the new battery can power the 370. It has a 40% higher capacity after all!
