I'm uncertain if you're really out for a serious debate or if you're out for a provocation. It seems however, that you state your points with such force, that I'm thinking the latter. Still... I'm not sure how others feel about this, but I see no need to 'defending' anything. There is a difference b...

It does mean more CD-i video's again, yes. If I'll keep the old format, I'm not sure about yet. I'm thinking of dropping the name and just make something generic for retro reviews in general.

I got a kind offer from my friend Mat Howlett to host these big files on his server. So no more annoying Mega Upload links :) I will put up my previous rips as well. The full list with download links can be found on the index page of the subdomain: http://seb.mathowlett.com

Re: Wand of Gamelon soundtrack

Do you have a working player again? Yes, I managed to find two working 470 models. At least, they're working for now :) I'm also looking into replacing the chip of some of my other units. Not sure if that's going to work, but would be nice to get some of my dead units up and running again as well. ...

Wand of Gamelon soundtrack

Had some time to sit down and finally rip and name all the tracks appropriately. It was quite some work, as the game has about 73 tracks, but some of them were doubles. However, some were just slight variations as well, so it took some time to find out which were variation and which were actually co...

Interesting indeed. I remember that video, slapped it at the end of one of my earlier video's. Some interesting reads from the Interactive Dreams blog: http://cdii.blogspot.com/2007/04/electronic-arts-cd-i-was-interesting.html http://cdii.blogspot.com/2007/07/electronic-arts-talks-about-enfant-cd-i....

It's been a good while since I booted it up, but I believe it has an options menu which offer the ability to warp around. The disc also allows you to see all the scenes and there is an alternative transition option when going to different screens in the game I believe. Sorry, it's been a good while,...

Never posted this here, but I've got a beta/test disc of Myst. It's a great way to just experience the game atmosphere a bit, as it lets you warp to all locations :D

I totally agree with Trev on the blog. Seriously, great work in keeping the spirit of CD-i going strong on there! It's jammed packed full with interesting CD-i info and a lot of that info has been lost from other sources. I hope it sticks around! Hopefully, someday, someone makes a new CD-i referenc...

Higher quality CD-R's will help to preserve your laser, not matter what model you're using. Low quality CD-R's might get you a lot of read errors, and the extra access time can add up and wear down the laser a lot faster compared to original or high quality discs. Which brand is considered high qual...

Have you tried it on a CRT screen? As I understand it, the Peacekeeper gun is actually one of the very few old lightguns that can work with any display method (even beamers). I've tested tried mine with my LCD TV and it worked fine as well. This is because the gun doesn't interact with the screen (l...

Lost Eden is amazing for sure! Still put on the music some times, such a nice soundtrack! The game is pretty easy, but it's a fun ride. Interesting to hear about the 3DO version. I have never tried that version, so couldn't really compare it to the CD-i version. I have played some of the DOS version...
