No disrespect, but there is alot more to this than the video. Getting the interactive cdi controls to work with the 5volt arcade controls is the real nightmare. That said, this is an old school Neo 29 connected to the cdi. This is sort of like Dragons Lair arcade, althought the CDI timing is a littl...

Sony CXA 1145
Hi, I am working on a project to tap the rgb on a US CDI 220 and use it to light my RGB monitor in my arcade machine. I was wondering what affect the MPEG1 digital video encoding would have if the tap occured before the signals are sent through the NTSC encoding IC? I think the answer is none, but I...

I have located the rgb signal output on the motherboard, but I am afraid that if I tap here it will bypass the signal out for the optional video card. The main benefit for doing this is too get a pure rgb signal out on a ntsc system. If I can do that, I can wire it to my rgb arcade monitor. Has anyo...

CDI to Jamma?
Has anyone ever tried connecting the CDI to a Jamma connector on an arcade? Can this be done. I want to figure this one out, but it seems a bit complex. For example, the arcade monitor is RGB, so I think that you would need to change signal output from SVideo to Component first and then trace the ve...

Do you know how to turn on english subtitles in De Zaak Van Sam? I push the button at the title screen but still can't see english subtitles. What are you playing this game on, a crt or lcd? If I knew what you were playing the game on it might help me figure out why my screen is akward and blocks th...

Hmm, couldn't disagree more. No disrespect, but IMO the best games on CDI are the laser active type that use the optional Digital Video Card. My list would reflect that.. 1. Dragon's Lair 2. Space Ace 3. Brain Dead 13 4. Voyuer (no card needed but good theme) 5. Crime Patrol and the Mad Dog Series. ...
