May be so on eBay UK, but most who sell a CD-i 370 will ship worldwide - or at least within Europe - anyway. :)
Theres a 370 on ebay.co.uk just now the bidding was @ £56 the last time i looked
It's at £90.00 now and the reserve is still not met.

I've now extracted the tune with IsoBuster, but it's an .rtf file. Is there an audio player for Windows that can play .rtf files?

I think I'm going to use SANYO NH HR4/5U-1Z cells. They have the correct size and a much higher capacity than the original cells (2150 mAh instead of 1500 mAh). Still 3.35 € for one cell, so refurbishing the battery will cost about 40 €. Not that bad, I'd say. :D

Theres a 370 on ebay.co.uk just now the bidding was @ £56 the last time i looked but with the softcase im afraid. I saw that as well. I guess it will go much higher than what it's really worth, simply because the seller describes the 370 as ultra rare, which it is not. You can find one on eba...

No problem. :) I paid only 33 Euro for a loose one in almost perfect condition. The hard case may be worth 20 Euro or so, so I would say 60 Euro for the complete set. Though people on eBay are crazy enough to pay much more, probably up to 100 Euro.

to Windowskiller: thank you for that inform. That means I buy both devices - and it should work again? Not without any software. The recording device you would need is a Philips CDD 521 (I have one, I may sell it). But then, you'd better use "CD-IT! for CD-i", which is a CD-i burning program for Ma...

Sound problems with 'Flashback'

This is something strange. I really like the main menu music of the CD-i version of Flashback and wanted to record it, but on all my CD-i players, I get a very loud click and some noise shortly before the tune starts to loop. The disc itself is clean and I've also dumped it and compared the md5 hash...

Yes, it was quite hard. I had to use a very sharp knife to separate the cover, and it took a few hours. I've found a shop in the meantime that sells the cells needed to refurbish the battery, the cells are even from the same manufacturer! (GP, that is) Sadly, they charge 8,40 Euro for one cell, and ...

Finally cracked the battery. First surprise: The Philips label gives a capacity of 1650 mAh, but the accu pack inside says only 1500 mAh.

I would probably take the soft bag as well, seems like the plastic carrying case is quite rare these days.

Exactly. The problem is, that the author of that article equate commercial failure with bad/lame hardware. That's the worst thing one can do, and it clearly disqualifies the author as a serious journalist...

Wanted: Carrying case for CD-i 370

Once again I'm looking for a carrying case, this time for my CD-i 370. :D I'm especially looking for the 370 plastic carrying case, not the soft bag nor the 350/360 carrying case (which I already have).

I've decided to sell my CD-i 350, as one portable player is more than enough (well, at least for me ;)). So I'm only searching for the CD-i 370 manual now.

There was no special recording device for the CD-i. The CD-i 180 had a SCSI port where a Philips CD recorder could be attached to burn CDs directly with the CD-i 180, but that's it.
