Do I see here the cause is just a low quality CD-R Oldergames used for publishing? The test version of Frog Feast runs perfect on my 490 player (brand: Philips (tssk)) - How could the game itself go wrong if the demo runs fine? The game does use real time files and sounds. Small changes were made i...

Re: Tested by: RW, Gator and John . . .
We tested the CD's sold at CGE2K7 and they did not work on three different CDI490 players I had for sale. Were they not recognized as CD-i disks? If they were recognized, did they not startup, or have some problem before or during the game? Have you tried any other CD-R disks on any of these system...

And he posts "PLEASE READ: This title will not play back on Philips model CDI490 players!" Hi Charles. What's this about? The Demo I played works fine on my 490. The game wasn't tested on a US CD-i 470, due to a problem reading CD-Rs. I do know it was tested on a Magavox CD-i 550 and a Philips CD-4...

Re: Building a CD-i friendly PC!
Including the Motherboard, CPU, RAM I'll be looking to spend no more than £75. Considering I'll be skimping on a few extras by stealing components from my other systems can it be done for that price? Any advice welcome, I'll post my progress here! Well, in the US £75 (roughly $150) would get you qu...

I think you're giving Balboa a little too much c r e d i t (weird spelling to avoid spam detection), really. Most of the "how to interface" stuff is in the C bindings that come with the Microware C compiler, not with Balboa. I'm talking less about the actual instructions, and more about the sequenc...

I like the cover. Any chance of getting one of these, signed by you personally? Now I'm like dying to see the exit credits  RW, how would we handle this? I had thought of adding some interactivity to the exit screen, but since it shows right before exiting the game, I wasn't sure it was worth...

cool bit of trivia, never knew that. How do you guys find out about stuff like that. I'm not familiar with hardware/software! I understand there is a limited amount of 'video modes' you can play a cd-i title in, now depending on what model you're using? I started investigating why Frog Feast was no...

Did you know early CDi's support another video mode?
While developing Frog Feast, I (well we, hello CD-I Fan!) stumbeld on a video mode only present on Mini MMC based boards. There is a 320x224 (or 256 in PAL ) mode supported on the systems such as the 205/910, 350 and, 605. This may be present in other models, but it didn't show up, in the Frog Feast...

Thanks to all who helped test out Frog Feast for the CD-I, your efforts have helped to ensure the product should run on any CD-I player. And, a special thanks to Devin for keeping the hope of a Frog Feast for the CD-I alive. Your posts have helped motivate me to finish it. What are the thoughts abou...

I honestly believe you should rethink your price point on this Emu..I'd suggest $10-15 USA, for typical software your current price point is acceptable...but for the market this applies to and the limited demand a lower price point would likely draw in more registered users & more income. I think y...

The video decoding is not done by the ROM but by the hardware. But, the rom would be responsible for configuring the MCD212 (or whatever video hardware is used). My thought is it's probably a problem in the FCT DCP. I tested all the versions of Frog Feast, including the final Chaos 89 Demo.I need t...

Frog Feast input working.
Frog Feast supports two players using a splitter or the two ports on systems such as the CDI-370. The only issue I've noticed is that the Magnavox CDI-450 doesn't support mouse movements, it will read the buttons. Rise of the Robots and Defender of the Crown have the same problem. I wonder if this i...
