CD-I emulator with screenshot function ?

Post by Lightknight » Wed Mar 15, 2006 9:44 pm

Hallo,

I look for a possibility to make screenshots of different CD-I games.
I own the CDI 210 Player and I want to use an emulator for that purpose !

Any suggestions ?

Thanks & Greetings from Germany

Chris

Once you have your CD-i disc running in the emulator, it's very simple to take screenshots.

Just press the Print Screen button ("Print Screen/SysRq") on your keyboard. It usually is located above the Insert key. You might have to look around for it a bit.

Once you're pressed Print Screen, go into any image editing program and select Paste to paste the screen capture in from your computer's internal clipboard. You can now crop the image down as you see fit and save it.
It's like 1993 all over again!

First of all, go to http://www.cdiemu.org and download the limited edition of cdiemu. It's limited in the way that it stops after 3 minutes. But that should be enough to take some screenshots. You also need the bios rom from your cdi player. There are already some topics here about how to grab it.

As for how to take the screenshots, Kao already explained that quite well.

Press ALT+PrintScrn and you don't have to crop :).

You get just the focused window, yes.. but you still have to crop out the window box!
