Zelda's adventure - does it work on the newest emu?

Post by awepittance » Tue Apr 25, 2006 8:59 pm

i actually own this game, and i remember it being somewhat good compared to the other two god-awful zelda games. I sold my cdi system long ago, so i tried loading an image i made of it up on cdiemu-0.5.2 but it just goes to a blue screen after i hit play. Is this game working for anyone else?
If not, is it worth getting a cdi again to play?
I rember it playing like the original NES game but a tad worse controls, the worst thign about it was the loading time, so im kind of dissapointed it doesnt work on the emu (because it might have sped up the loading time between screens)

It doesn't work with the emulator yet, so the best you can do is to wait for the next version of cdiemu. I wouldn't recommend buying a CD-i player only for playing Zelda's Adventure...

No, it's not. That's why I wrote: I would not recommend [...] Sorry if you misunderstood the shortened form.

Have you tried it to emulate with another emulator like CDice?

CD-Ice did not get half as far as CD-i Emulator is right now. It can't play anything else than Rise of the Robots either...

No, that's not right. I found some tutorials how to run other games on CDice.

Yeah I heard about this. I think it involves games that have a similar structure to rise.

I imagine that doesn't include Zelda's Adventure..
It's like 1993 all over again!

I have never gotten CD-Ice to even run Rise of the Robots.

Not that it really matters for me anyway; CD-i Emulator is technically totally different from CD-Ice (CD-i Emulator emulates the CD-i hardware as seen from the 68000; CD-Ice emulates (a subset of) the CD-i operating system, which is the reason for it not requiring ROM files).
