I know. Half of the stuff comes from people who want to get rid of it in Holland. They go away for free or very low prices. Then this guy tries to sell them for huge prices on Ebay.

I found out cause a friend of mine gave away his collection almost for free and then someday the same stuff (user marks etc) popped up on Ebay. After some close monitoring, we found out this guy is bidding/buying stuff on ex marktplaats.nl and when he gets it it will end up on Ebay eventually. But o well, everyone has his own way of life. :)

I know the titles and console are rare atm, but in my opinion this is not a fair way of handling peoples trust. This is my opinion. See for yourself whats yours. Happy bidding i guess.

Yes, it is true that I buy sets of cdi stuff and re-sell the individual titles that I already have using marktplaats or ebay.

The main reason that I buy sets on marktplaats/ebay is not to make money, but to complete my personal collection. So not all items end up on ebay, but if I later get a more perfect copy of the game or CDI console, than I will sell the first one on marktplaats or ebay. I can't keep everything, and I can't buy new cdi titles in the shops anymore now can I?

In what way am I not fair of handling peoples trust? I don't hide the fact that I'm a CDi collector and also trade the games and consoles.
You really do exaggerate when you say "gave away almost for free", I buy sets of cdi stuff for the price that people ask.
Btw what "user marks" ? I usually only sell items on Ebay that are in very good condition, and don't have user marks.

Also all the stuff I sell on ebay is mine, I bought it either one time in a shop or from other people that don't use CDi anymore, I don't sell other people their cdi items. People are free to sell heir own items on ebay, if they think they will get a better price.

I dont think it was neccisarily aimed specifically at you as the phrase "some guy", to me, implies that they do not actually know who it is who is doing it.

he starts his auctions at £0.99 people bid those prices on their own so he isn't doing anything wrong at all! you wanna see someone who sells for huge price on ebay? check this out Zelda's Adventure - now that is selling for huge prices!! just because its sealed doesn't mean its worth anywhere near that much - i can't even imagine that unreleased cd-i prototypes would sell for anywhere near that much. the cd-i prices in europe are insane they seem to be much cheaper in the USA

WOW. Maybe the seller is hoping somebody absolutely wants to have that game for Christmas? Looking at the few past auctions, I was thinking the price of Zelda's adventure was dropping compared to a couple of years ago.

this seller has been trying to sell the sealed Zelda's Adventure at 350 pounds for months now. Either he has multiple sealed games or he isn't very successful.

I start my zelda's Adventure auctions at 1 pound, bacause I do want to sell stuff on ebay (I don't like waiting for months).

This last year I have sold a number of Zelda's adventure discs and I haven't seen any indication that the game is going down in price. I sold the game for prices ranging from 66 euros to 110 euros on ebay. with no change in price compared to the beginning of the year or the end.
Last year I sold a few for about 50.- euros on ebay.nl. Maybe the price has gone up a bit or ebay.co.uk is more expensive (I think the last one)

For people living in the Netherlands you can get the game for a bit less: it seems the price is about 50 euros on www.marktplaats.nl . (for an advertisement with this game specifically). Sadly you never know what quality the disc will be on marktplaats. (there is no real buyers protection).

I don't like Marktplaats.nl personally. It's not as safe as eBay.

I have bought a lot of cd-i games from ebay (.nl, .co.uk and .com). I only used Marktplaats.nl a few times. I only bought from 2 sellers there, XCLTempesT being one of them. Everything was fine, and I made a good deal.

I also noticed XCLTempesT moving his cd-i business to ebay.co.uk. You can't realy blame him that people want to pay much much more money there, now can you?

If you want to buy your cd-i games cheap, you have to wait a long time to find a bargain on eBay OR use a website like Marktplaats.nl, with less protection.

I bought Braindead 13 on Marktplaats.nl for 6 euro. (Did you bid 7 euro later that day, XCLTempesT?). I don't think I could have bought it on eBay for that prize.

I wonder how much of XCLTempesTs high bidders actually do pay. Does he actually sell the games a few times, or does he list the same game over and over again?

If the first case is true, i don't think he will ever again offer eg Shaolins Road for 7 euro on Marktplaats.nl ?

I have very good experiences with marktplaats. Most of my games that I resell also come from marktplaats. And I (almost) completed my personal collection with the recent addition of two sets of discs and players that I got using Marktplaat. They included the Archeon Quiz disc, P.A.W.S. , a jewel case version of Link "the faces of Evil" that is in dutch (most dutch versions are called "de Gezichten van het kwaad") and a Shaolin's Road that includes a map and has a colour printing on the disc.

I didn't even know that there are multiple versions of Shaolin's Road (I sold the discs that was the version with a black/white printing on the disc and that didn't include the map)

Also I didn't know that there is a dutch version of "link the faces of evil". (the dutch spoken version, with the dutch catalogue number, and a dutch manual but with an English title on both the cover and the disc itself)

If anybody has a similar version of Zelda the Wand of Gamelon, I would very much like to know about it.

I switched to Ebay UK because the ebay.nl site is very much dead since they increased the prices. Ebay.co.uk is just as expensive, so I prefer to use that site. But in the Netherlands www.marktplaats.nl is THE site for used goods.
I wonder how much of XCLTempesTs high bidders actually do pay. Does he actually sell the games a few times, or does he list the same game over and over again?

I just got my first non-payer ever, but I don't really mind, the item didn't sell for much, and I'll be able te sell it for the the same price. (the game was Zelda the Wand of Gamelon, English version)
I have a ridiculous amount of CDi discs, and I have multiple copies of most games. I don't re-list the same item. I sometimes do re-use the pictures for the same game, but ONLY if you really can't tell the difference (because both discs are in excellent condition for example). All items I sell are in the described condition, I'm an honest seller.
If the first case is true, i don't think he will ever again offer eg Shaolins Road for 7 euro on Marktplaats.nl ?

I indeed sold this game for 7,- euros on Marktplaats a while back. It is now on my "rare" list of cdi titles that I only sell on Ebay. It isn't about the money actually, and I really think Shaolin's Road is a very very bad game, that isn't worth more than 7,- euros.
I bought Braindead 13 on Marktplaats.nl for 6 euro. (Did you bid 7 euro later that day, XCLTempesT?).

You may very well think that, but I couldn't possibly comment :-)

I didn't even know that there are multiple versions of Shaolin's Road
Shaolin's Road used to be a french exclusive title like 'L'ange et le Demon' and 'Le Teleportaschroumph'

For some reason, Infogrames decided to re-release the game in 1996 in the rest of Europe. I think the first version was from 1994.
Also I didn't know that there is a dutch version of "link the faces of evil". (the dutch spoken version, with the dutch catalogue number, and a dutch manual but with an English title on both the cover and the disc itself)
I also didn't know that! It sounds like a misprint to me, but maybe a whole pressing went like that. Interesting!

Let me just make clear that my friend wanted to give his stuff away to someone who was actually going to use it. His purpose was not to give it to someone who wants to sell it for big bucks on ebay. Cause thats what XL is doing... no matter what. My friend has learned not to put too many trust on people.

And about a dutch version of Gamelon. I think you mean this.

But this will stay in my personal collection.

No, I don't . I have that one (like most games).
I'm looking for a disc with the english text: "Zelda the wand of gamelon" on both disc and manual, but the manual is in dutch and the game is the dutch spoken version.
