you don't see these everyday unfortunately the price tag is quite hefty. i'm just wondering what would be a reasonable price to pay for one of these?

I guess that depends, but I think a price between 10-20 euro is reasonable, sometimes you find one cheaper. No 70 euros for a 450 type.
