Anything relating to CD-i can be discussed in this forum. From the multiple hardware iterations of the system to the sofware including games, reference, music and Video CDs. Maybe you hold an interest in Philips Media and the many development houses set up to cater for CD-i if so then this is the forum.

Well, I'm looking for some information about the first packaging in US.
Does this title arrives to the consumer during or after the 'long box' first batch ?

Long boxes are *clearly* superior
It's like 1993 all over again!

why do you think that? I find the large boxes inferior, in fact. They'll break more easy.
Stores didn't want to buy new shelves where the large boxes could fit in, so they threatened to get cd-i out of their shop if philips didn't change the format to normal jewel cases! And because of already low sales, philips didn't have much choice...

It was sort of a sarcastic comment, actually. Well, if not sarcastic, it at least lacked seriousness.
But I see your point about the shelf space. It's sort of an odd shape, isn't it?

Do you have a scan of it ? Pictures on the long box version are the originals. On jewel cases, pictures were cut.

Hold on. Voyeur on cd-rom was released in a carton box. If you want an 'original', those are the ones to start with.
I'll check my files for a picture tonight...

I refer only about cd-i release, not cdrom. Previously I asked question about cd-i long box release. I never saw this one. So my last question about scan ...

well ...
I will try again... If we reduce the scope only with only Cd-i discs, original pictures of first US cd-i batch were on long box.
So the complete picture of voyeur was on the long box format ..
Are you agree ?

'regular'
it's only a

thank you .... but it's not a long box! I have this one.
I call this one: medium box and it was for european market.
What I call long box is a grey box with a cover and booklet like you see at ebay (
http://cgi.ebay.com/Philips-CD-I-How-th ... dZViewItem )
So is there **realy ** a long box for voyeur on cd-i ?[/img]

ah, i meant something else with long boxes i see.
as far as i know these boxes were only used before 1992. As Voyeur is from 1993, i don't think there is one.
sorry for that misunderstanding.
