It's alive!!!!

Anything relating to CD-i can be discussed in this forum. From the multiple hardware iterations of the system to the sofware including games, reference, music and Video CDs. Maybe you hold an interest in Philips Media and the many development houses set up to cater for CD-i if so then this is the forum.

It's alive!!!!

I knew they were bad but not THAT bad!!

Recently got my hands on a Gamester joypad controller for the CD-i and the feeling playing with it is 100% better than any other official device i've ever tried! It's really that good and puts Philips CD-i controllers to shame, with the Gamester I can even pull off The Apprentice cheat codes in the first go. Before due to the cumbersome nature of Philips devices it was very hard to input precise directions to activate the cheat. Just knew this was going to be a treat to use and it didn't disappoint, if you can find one buy it straight away. One highly recommended device.

what can you do with those buttons in the middle? Does this gamepad improves the button responsivity of some 'slow-paced' games, like Flashback or Litil Divil? I'd be highly interested if you ever find a second piece of this!

I wouldn't be so sure! I've only ever seen three of these auctioned on ebay and i'm a real addict for these things. Maybe it's a regional difference however?

Well, at least three of them were sold on eBay in the last weeks. So they aren't rare in Germany. I guess I should buy some if they are really that good. :D

I just got one of those, and I have to admit that Devin is right. This is by far the best CD-i gamepad of all!

Here's another one:

(from the same guy, seems like he has a bunch of those gamepads)
