Maybe this is a pretty dumb question, but I am a newbie.
Are the CDi players region free?
Can I buy games out of the USA and play them normally on my European (Dutch) CDi player?

yes you can. The CD-i is region free. There are some side aspects regarding the resolution of VideoCD's as far as I believe, but they all play on every cd-i player worldwide.
