Mad Dog McCree difficult with peacekeeper gun?

Anything relating to CD-i can be discussed in this forum. From the multiple hardware iterations of the system to the sofware including games, reference, music and Video CDs. Maybe you hold an interest in Philips Media and the many development houses set up to cater for CD-i if so then this is the forum.

Mad Dog McCree difficult with peacekeeper gun?

Post by stefh » Tue May 02, 2006 10:36 am

Hi there!

Yesterday I got myself a peacekeeper gun but I find it very difficult to shoot right when playing Mad Dog McCree 1.

I calibrated the gun right, but it isn't precise. Anybody got any clues on how to get it right?

When playing Mad Dog McCree 2 (Sadly I don't own the original one, but only a copied disc), you can choose to leave the crosshair on, this helps bigtime. Any tips on Mad Dog McCree 1?

Thanks

What kind of television are you using? (Size)

Either small screens or big screens are harder to use the gun with, have you read the manual?

Overall, the gun IMO responds slower than a mouse/trackball, true.

Manual

In here you can find some tips, conditions and more ways to perform better with the Peacekeeper. I hope this will help you a little. Make sure the IR signal is not disturbed (dirty window, no direct contact...)

Those games work best with a mouse ;). Or maybe it's too easy then..

Ok, but I think playing with a lightgun is much cooler ;)
