the game is worth as much as you're willing to pay for it... The Lost Ride is pretty rare I guess, although I would NEVER pay 30 euros for it.

crazy people :?

I found this thread which was quite interesting. I would still like a rough guide of whats an ok amount to pay. I see from that thread that it's a 'buggy' game but not too bad on 200 series CD-i's?

yes, as they say - On my 490 it's not fun playing anymore because the disc crashes every minute :O

So ok, I admit these titles I recommended you yesterday are all pricey!

but The Lost Ride offers great graphics, and it's FAST!

How much you want to pay depends. Personally, I would not go any higher than 5 euros. I'm sure, if you check regularly on local auctions sites (and not on that overpriced ebay) you will eventually get it for a price like that.

Yes, The Apprentice is considered to be the best platform game on CD-i. A lot of variety, you can't really go wrong with this title: action-packed is a nice word to describe the disc.

41 pounds for The lost Ride: Insane! Is it really that rare !?!

I got it yesterday (the apprentice) and had a short go.. all seems great so far, how come there wasnt more great platformers like this?? from what I can see the CDI handles it really well.

As for the Lost Ride I can only guess one hasn't been on ebay for a wile. It happends like this with Master System games, If somthing hasnt been on for a few months then when it does pop up it will go for much more then usual, i.e. I sold a Championship Hockey for £80.00 (0.99p start) last year, but since then it's never reached above £30 and somtimes goes under £20. strange place ebay, it pays to wait round and search well.

Walk in a game store and buy 10 random games. How much of these would be absolute crap would you think? More than 50%?

I'm not quite sure of the relevence but i'm guessing 10 at random would produce maybe 2 or 3 good games, the rest would be avarage at best..

What my comment ment was that from what ive seen there arnt many plattform games on the CD-I, but I think there should be as The Apprentice seems to be really good.. perhaps Philips and its developers felt that 2D platform games were old fashioned and wanted the CD-I to do somthing new?

As it seemed Philips was thinking about Interactive Movies more! However, some exclusive platform games have been released, like Lucky Luke, Christmas Country, Christmas Crisis, Flashback...

Don't forget Pyramid Adventures!

yes, my mistake

I still enjoy the classic ALG games, and if they would produce new interactive movies like "De Zaak van Sam" I would certainly still enjoy them. In my opinion the replay value is low, because you've seen it all before. But it's the same as with regular movies. How cool would it be if you would have a controller in the cinema and you could choose the plot? That's what De Zaak van Sam is basically about. Unique ;)
