I just started feeling nostalgic recently and have gotten back into the CDI scene. I usually hang out at the ASSEMbler boards if I'm on a board.
I won a portable 370 today on eBay (10.00 with accessories and case, can you believe it!) and I was wondering if there is a true controller port on the unit or if it's primarily a player with minimal game functionality. I can't seem to remember from what I've read in the past and can't seem to find the info in the usual places.
Thanks
J
btw...looking forward to meeting you all.

I think it does, look:
corresponding to:
1. Speaker
2. Power indicator
3. Infrared receiver
4. Battery indicator
5. Open/close
6. Volume control
7. Headphone connector
8. Input 1 connector
9. Audio R+L connector
10. Video connector
11. S-Video connector
12. Battery
13. Extern A/V connector
14. Battery connector
15. AC power connector
16. Eject button for batttery
17. Input 2 connector
18. PAL/NTSC switch
So, number 8 and 17, that's about the first and second controller port. But, I don't have a 370 so it's just what I guess from the manual info!
By the way, Welcome!

I just won one but paid $31, still a good deal. Probably the same seller.kstyle25 wrote:I won a portable 370 today on eBay (10.00 with accessories and case, can you believe it!) and I was wondering if there is a true controller port on the unit or if it's primarily a player with minimal game functionality. Does the CD-I 370 suffer from the dead 'battery' issue?
I got it in today. The system is in excellent shape. And, the case is very nice.kstyle25 wrote:yeah...I guess, as both of my batteries are dead. The system from that seller is great. Everything is perfect and with a hard case with custom inserts that's worth 50.00 alone. You'll be pleased I believe.

Re: back into cdi and have a question on the 370
I assume you mean the timekeeper battery? Then no, there's no such timekeeper in the 370 and the battery that powers the nvram can be replaced.cdoty wrote:Does the CD-I 370 suffer from the dead 'battery' issue?
