Anything relating to CD-i can be discussed in this forum. From the multiple hardware iterations of the system to the sofware including games, reference, music and Video CDs. Maybe you hold an interest in Philips Media and the many development houses set up to cater for CD-i if so then this is the forum.

Omniflop and CD-I floppy format

Post by cdoty » Mon Sep 10, 2007 6:30 pm

The latest version of OmniFlop (http://www.shlock.co.uk/Utils/OmniFlop/OmniFlop.htm) lists the OS-9/68K 3.5" DD 38W7 format. Is this format supported by professional players?

The 38w7 format is an OS-9 RBF format, but I cannot find a description of the format.

The monniker 38W7 is meaningless to me. Is there a disc image in this format to be found somewhere?

Anyway, OmniFlop only makes disc image. You still need OS9 software to reach the files in that image; I believe there is something called OS9Tools that does this.

Omniflop can read and write disks. I used it to create X68000 floppies.

It's a 'common' OS-9 term:
