Anything relating to CD-i can be discussed in this forum. From the multiple hardware iterations of the system to the sofware including games, reference, music and Video CDs. Maybe you hold an interest in Philips Media and the many development houses set up to cater for CD-i if so then this is the forum.

CDI to Jamma?

Post by tlh » Thu Mar 26, 2009 5:33 am

Has anyone ever tried connecting the CDI to a Jamma connector on an arcade? Can this be done. I want to figure this one out, but it seems a bit complex. For example, the arcade monitor is RGB, so I think that you would need to change signal output from SVideo to Component first and then trace the vertical/horizontal sync. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks,,tlh

I have located the rgb signal output on the motherboard, but I am afraid that if I tap here it will bypass the signal out for the optional video card. The main benefit for doing this is too get a pure rgb signal out on a ntsc system. If I can do that, I can wire it to my rgb arcade monitor. Has anyone tried this?
