Hey guys I picked up a weird looking copy of Zelda's Adventure. I got it from someone who picked it up at last years Comic Con. Anyway I dont know if this was a dev release or just from a different region than EU or NTSC

BUT it seems to play like my US copy.

Let me know what you think

Hey thanks guys.

What code do you mean Erronous ? I am out of town for work for a few days so I dont have it in front of me but I am lost to what you are talking about.

To see if it is a repro burn ?? Or a dev release number ??

Thanks for the help

at the back side of a CD a code is printed on the inner circle. Have a look at a certain angle. It tells catalogue, manufacturing code. As you can see here:

It looks like a copy, but who'll tell. Interesting nonetheless :D

Crazy learning something new.... I looked at some music cd's in my truck and could see the code on the originals but all the cdr's were blank. I will have to check this out in more detail for sure on monday when I get back.

It may be a pro reproduction copy because its far past a burn ... the logo is silkscreened on like the full copy. Hmm....

Thanks for the info guys I will let you know what I find.

There is what looks like a code on the cd... I will try to get a picture of it on here soon. I have been dealing with my only 100% working 450 dying on me. The cd drive is not reading now and the timekeeper died now.... NOOOOOOO

So I swapped out my DVC into my working (minus timekeeper) unit.

Anyone know where to order a replacement unit for the 450's?

Or the original 220's (910 US unit) mine died long ago

Wasn't Zelda's Adventure a PAL-exlusive? How could it then be a US-copy...? :?

There's no regionlock on CD-i games at all. The PAL and NTSC-version is on the same disc of every game as far as I know.

There are no two versions on the disc, mind you ;)

Zelda's Adventure was only released in Europe (as PAL), but CD-i games are playable on all CD-i players worldwide. So there is no US version of Zelda's Adventure.

At first it looks like an illegal copy on a LichtScribe CD-R. (those have the same look to the image on front)
It should say so on the inner ring on the disc.

If it is you should get your money back because it it worth no more than 1 euro if it is.

pre-production discs don't have a full cover print anyway. I've never seen these kind of 'gold' CD-i final releases or even beta titles. Steve doesn't come back on the code while he has seen it. All sounds like a copy...
