910 vs 220

Anything relating to CD-i can be discussed in this forum. From the multiple hardware iterations of the system to the sofware including games, reference, music and Video CDs. Maybe you hold an interest in Philips Media and the many development houses set up to cater for CD-i if so then this is the forum.

910 vs 220

Post by CD-inexperience » Sat Sep 05, 2009 10:02 am

I want to get either a 910 or a 220 but I don't know which. I like the way the 910 looks and I've tried to get info on them but from what I've read there is no reason for me to choose the 220 over the 910. Are there any differences I should know about?

yup I've read that a while ago, doesn't seem to tell me anything other than board differences. From what I've read in the FAQ the only differences these appear to make are size of components. If there is more than that please elaborate.

I own both models. The MAIN difference is the size and weight of the units. The 910 is way bigger and heavier than the 220.

the main difference (as you see in the table) is that the 220 has more memory (32kb) compared to th 910 (8kb) (used for savegames etc)

My 910 came in the mail today and WOW I had no clue how heavy it was going to be. I got it from the post office on my lunch hour and I had to stop multiple times carrying it back to work!!!

910 v's 220

My 910 ran a lot hotter than my 220s. The top of the 910 would get real warm.
