I don't know anything about this. It looks like a user-made, custom built setup to me, but I could be wrong. Regardless, it's pretty neat:

Not sure, I've never seen one before.

I sent a message to the seller to see if they can give me any information on it, at least where it came from. We'll see what he/she says! :)

Unfortunately, the guy didn't say much. Just "Sorry I have no idea, this is the way I bought it a few years back."

Bummer. I'm going to go with "custom, hand crafted cabinet" on this one. Still, it's neat that someone would take the time to do that.

We had a 'Lil Champ' CD-i arcade machine on Interactive Dreams in 2009:

But it's a different one because this one was using a Magnavox CD-i 210! Interesting find, but I doubt it's custom made...

Nice one, Bas! So it's likely it's NOT custom-made. That's awesome! Truly a collector's piece, then.. Albeit quite a large one!

What interests me about the one on eBay now is that there aren't any coin mechanisms. I wonder if perhaps it was used at a daycare, or in some kind of youth group.

I guess it's time to snag those pictures from the auction and add to the blog, eh? :D
