Box with games saved from the trash at work

Hello. Today I saved box with CD-i games from the thrash at work. I don't have much knowledge about CD-i so I don't know if there is anything really interesting. The box was a mixed bag of seemingly retail, test, beta and burned CD-r discs. I don't know all the games work, especially the CD-r versions. My 21TCDI30 player, the TV one with builtin CD-i which I also saved from the thrash at work a few years ago, seems to have some disc reading problems, even with the retail discs I tried (I need to check if there's something I can do about that)

Anyway, here's the list with pictures:

Seriously, those are interesting discs. If you're in the Netherlands, I invite you to test them @ Interactive Dreams HQ

New pictures and added a list of the games. Also the previous pictures I posted actually contained a few PC games by Philips (Sluice & Nihilist) and I have removed them. Can't seem to find anything about Sluice on the internet though.

I checked all the CDRs with ISOBuster to see if they were CDi discs. The Lucky Luke one seems to be unreadable on both my drives.

I'm a bit disappointed Burn Cycle is missing the Music CD since apparantly Simon Boswell made the music and he did also the soundtrack for some cool Italian movies in the 80s which I have on DVD

I live in Belgium but I actually work in Amsterdam during the week so if you happen to live near there we could probably arrange something

Since my player is acting up (only with DV titles it seems, very strange) I tried to check all the discs on my PC with ISO buster. I encounter the following problems.

CD-R
- All CDr discs: isobuster reports the last 2 sectors as unreadable. however after ignoring those 2 i ended up with the exact same file for Lingo as the Lingo rip found online. So i assume all the discs are ok if the last 2 sectors are ignored

- 7th Guest: an error is reported for 1 sector in the middle of the disc

- Lucky Luke: this game is in cdi-ready format and pressed version works fine with CloneCD but my pc drives dont like this cdr version at all. no big loss since the version written on this cdr it is exactly the same as the pressed version

Pressed discs
- Mutant Rampage: the last file on the disc is unreadable. the errors are at the start of the file and right after that file. The same file is repeated at the beginning of the disc (also in the rip found on the internet). So i suspect maybe its some strange disc layout and isobuster cant handle it

- Lucky Luke, The Apprentice, Tatjana uncovered are in cdi-ready format. Tatjana seems to work with isobuster but the other 2 gave errors at the end of the data track. However CloneCD worked for those 2 (yet strangely enough Clonecd does not work at all for normal cdi discs)

All the other discs including Voyeur 2 are fine. I am very surprised about the 17 year old CDrs still reading without problems. I guess quality back then was much higher than recent discs

Compared to the Tosec database, some versions have the same MD5, some are different (also different filesizes)

Excellent find! It's good that they have been preserved, rather than trashed. (no pun intended).

Should've just named the topic: "Voyeur 2 Discovered" :D

That's a nice find. Would prbly make a killing if it was listed on ebay, or at least it would be interesting to see what a desirable CDi proto would sell for.

Anyway, hoping this gets released soon.
