Anyone an idea how to make a testplug? Connecting tx to rx does not work here.....

According to PMPRO on ICDIA here that is indeed the correct way to make a test plug...

Maybe it needs both txd/rxd and cts/rts wired together?

Nope, doesn't work at all. Maybe I should try connecting a terminal to the serial port and see what comes out or try running it on the CDI605. There are also special controllers that were needed to run some titles, maybe this is one of those titles.

how do you know if it is a cd-i then....?

It's recognized as CD-i and there is a cd-i file system with executables on the disc. And maybe I should have been more specific; the applications runs of course, but it aborts due to a missing device.
