CD-i Ready Software

Anything relating to CD-i can be discussed in this forum. From the multiple hardware iterations of the system to the sofware including games, reference, music and Video CDs. Maybe you hold an interest in Philips Media and the many development houses set up to cater for CD-i if so then this is the forum.

CD-i Ready Software

Post by Devin » Fri Oct 14, 2005 1:36 am

Need a quick poll from you guys on which CD-i software is CD-i Ready format.

Off the top of my head I remember the following:

Accelerator
Dimo's Quest
The Apprentice

I've never tried to extract any other SPC titles but i'm guessing they are also CD-i Ready. In fact did any other company outside of SPC use this format?

No, CD-i Ready is a special format where the CD-i track is "hidden" in the pregap before the first audio track; this was supposed to provide for better compatibility with audio cd players.

You can recognize a CD-i Ready disc because the audio tracks start from track 01; on a "regular" CD-i disc the audio tracks start from track 02.
