New member? Say Hi!

Anything relating to CD-i can be discussed in this forum. From the multiple hardware iterations of the system to the sofware including games, reference, music and Video CDs. Maybe you hold an interest in Philips Media and the many development houses set up to cater for CD-i if so then this is the forum.

It was so long ago that I don't remember exactly but I posted a topic about trying to buy a 3DO and apparently they thought I was a scammer because I was offering a very high amount of money because at the time I knew next to nothing about the value of the 3DO and it probably didn't help that I mentioned that I own a 3DO M2 prototype.

Okay, I remember now. If you want, post 3DO talk in the general forum.

Hi everyone.

I'm rocketboy3005 and my parents gave me their old CD-i 220/57. Sadly, the Flood of Dec. 2010 did yet another damage to the CD-i. I know that the Rubber belt can be replace and the squeaky tray can be grease up. But for some reason, the CD player is not working anymore.

Also, I saw that my TimeKeeper Chip was different. I already made a thread about it on here. Check it out on this part of the thread. I do want to know if my TimeKeeper Chip is a different model type for the CD-i or something different all together. The chip is still holding strong and the 220 was release on April of 1994.

Also, I have very small amount of titles for the CD-i. 10 titles to be exact.

Burn:Cycle
Chaos Control
Compton's Interactive Encyclopedia
Hotel Mario
Kether
Litil Divil
Pinball
Space Ace
Tetris
Voyeur

Welcome.

Even though your collection is small, you have some good titles.

I hope someone can help you on the timekeeper question.

Hi. I'm Redd, and I'm a CD-i Fan.

I own Model 220 of the CD-i, and own some fun games, including all 3 Zelda Games, Hotel Mario, Voyeur, Escape From Cyber City, Tetris, Dragon's Lair 2, and more.

Hi. My Name is Matthew, born 1990. I got a second-hand CD-i last year (a 210 with the smaller DVC slot...shame I didn't realise that until I got a large DVC second-hand) from a friend of a relative, along with a couple of games and have since been expanding my collection (including the correct DVC and the gamepad with the strange joy-stick on the d-pad and the "1 dot" button appearing twice). My favourite games on the multimedia player are "International Tennis Open", "Zenith", "The Apprentice", "Hanna-Barbera's Cartoon Carnival", and the ports of "Pac-Panic" and "Tetris" (it troubles me that the CD-i has a better version of Tetris than the GBA, even though the GBA was meant as a games system (unlike the CD-I) and is more powerful in many ways). Least favourite game is "Video Speedway". I also love the "edutainment" release "Solar System".

I am still learning about the product and there's still a lot I don't know, but I find the whole thing fascinating.
