pin layout on joyport?

anywhere where i can see the pin layout on the input plug on the CDI??
i cant seem to find a pionting device (aka Joystick or Mouse) for my CDi210, so im about to build my own from old Commodore joysticks or maybe an Amiga mouse....

nice links Bas, but i need to know what pin does fire, wich is for up/down/left/right
since i dont have an org. joy/mouse to look at ....

The CD-i "joystick" port is a generic serial port; it does not *have* pins for up, down, etc. Information about the pins and protocol can be found on the ICDIA site
here; look under "Technical Info Pointing Devices".
Someone has built a mouse "adapter" that you might be able to modify for joysticks; information about this is
here.

i just realized that im gonna buy me a pointing device on Egay or so....
had no idea that it would be so difficult to modify a joystick
