Clock battery brand in 450?

Post by CD-i 450 » Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:18 am

I plan on doing this repair on my cd-i http://cdii.blogspot.com/2009/03/pictur ... epair.html and the tutorial is great but he doesn't mention what battery one should buy to replace it with , is it just a normal CR-2032 lithium battery which is the same as the sega saturn and dreamcast VMU uses?

the type "CR-2032 " refers to a specific battery so it doesn't matter which brand you are using. Perhaps a cheap one means a bad one (with a short life), but it should work nonetheless.

ok , do you have any idea what might happen if one boots up the cd-i with the battery removed?

I'm just curious cause i'm at that stage right now;)

Edit: nothing happens when your boot a cd-i without its battery;)
