Uploaded a Promotional Video for Flashback thanks to oaacdi for the tip from the CD-online Issue 01 disc. All due credit to Philips Media, they never used other versions of games to promote what they had on CD-i. With this version you can see for yourself that the CD-i game comes complete with green wallpaper either side of the gameplay. I assume this was due to some technical constraints. With that in mind and being a big fan of Flashback this version is the worst I ever played besides the aforementioned gameplay window the sound was terrible. Still it's always nice to see a classic make it over onto CD-i

Included some background information about the developer Tiertex in the Game Facts column along with a little conjecture on my behalf about those horrible green borders decorating the play area! If anybody has any concrete reasons why these exist in the first place then answers on a postcard please. I'm sure it must have something to do with saving CPU power which seems to be the case in a few CD-i titles where the play area is reduced.

Took a few screenshots of the CD-i version of Flashback as posted on the updated game page. With plenty from the excellent 'Earth' level with hordes of enemies forcing you to devise clever strategies to dispatch them all without a scrath to Conrad. Although I do miss the Brmmm noise of the Force Field which actually acted as a nice audio cue to help with timing your shots against the jet force police patroling that area.
