New member? Say Hi!

Anything relating to CD-i can be discussed in this forum. From the multiple hardware iterations of the system to the sofware including games, reference, music and Video CDs. Maybe you hold an interest in Philips Media and the many development houses set up to cater for CD-i if so then this is the forum.

Yes! As far as I've seen those, they were only on 210 players, right? Never seen that sticker on a different type. If anyone can make a high-res pic ;)

Hi newbie here, thought i'd better post a hello to you all. Some of you may have seen my 370 post in the trade section. Basically i used to own a 450 about 10 years ago, ended up swapping it for another console and have now realised that i should have kept it, if only for 7th guest!!! Anyway thankfully i've stumbled over this site in my quest to regain a CDi system, hence the 370 post. So if anyone needs to find a new home for a 370 or maybe a 450 then drop me a line. Cheers, speak soon. Adam.

hi! Welcome to the forum, I hope it will bring back lots of memories about CD-i!

If I remember correctly you need a docking station with the 370 to play "Digital Video". You remember, to play games with integrated video, you need the video cartridge installed. With the portable, you need a special docking station. Normally the portables are pretty expensive, and a 450 would be a more cheaper option!

The 370 is the rebranded GoldStar CD-i and has the DVC built-in. Only the bulky 350 and 360 are needing a docking station for an additional DVC.

Hi there,

I'm new here, but not new to the CD-i :)
I used to work at DIMA/Creative Media as a (somewhat lead) programmer and I was responsible for titles like Christmas Country, Tetsuo Gaiden and Whack-a-Bubble.

Also, the Joe Guard demo that is going around here, was the product of me and 3 other interns do their final project (afstudeeropdracht) at DIMA back then. It made us graduate with honors :)

I'm still in the game-industry, this time with my own company, co-founded with another DIMA-collegue, Peter de Jong, and we are now developing games for the Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and mobile phones.

Cheers!

Hi Maurice, good to see you here. You know, if you have a cool DIMA mascotte, we can always change the Marvin one on the top left ;)

New guy here and just wanted to say hi. I usually hang out at the ASSEMbler boards if I'm on a board. Just recently got nostalgic and got back into the CDI scene. Looking forward to hanging out and meeting you all.
