Do you own any prototypes or beta versions...?
For any of you out there,
Do you own a proto- or beta version of a cd-i game? (Perhaps even downloaded one)

This is a serious question actually, I believe it's of vital importance to get these prototypes now. Calypso can shed more light on this matter than I can but inevitably the CD Writeable Media of the time was not as stable as it is now so gradually with time errors will creep into the data through degradation of the CD itself. It would be a great pity to loose these resources and we really should save them if only for the purposes of archiving for future generations.
Nothing really shocking .

Testing versions.
I have two testing version games. They are Muzzy and Cluedo. Muzzy is Phase 3, but I don't remember which phase Cluedo is.
I've also downloaded prototype versions of Plunderball, and a few others that I can't remember.

Muzzy was released, IIRC it is a childrens titles and based upon a BBC character used for learning foreign languages.
"We are developing a range of CD-I titles using OS9 with Balboa (C
libraries from Optimage/Philips) and would like to find 'like minded
people' to share horror storries - and solution with.
Currently we have a FMV (full motion video) title 'Every Song is a Sign'
- a Bob Marley discography under development and scheduled for launch for
this Christmas.
Also, 'Sail to Win!' is an animation based title on yacht racing and we
are having headaches with some of the animation routines - and so would
like to swap ideas etc. "
There is a professional sailing title for CD-i, although I don't know if it is called Sail to win.

That's quite something!! Can you take a few digital pictures of the CD and any jewel case scribbles that come with it and e-mail them to me? Perhaps then we can provide better information about your prototype.Nemesis wrote:I recently bought a philips CD-i 220 from Ebay, and it came with a cd-r labeled {Zelda(unreleased)}, i dont know what it is but it would'nt boot in emulator.
