Anything relating to CD-i can be discussed in this forum. From the multiple hardware iterations of the system to the sofware including games, reference, music and Video CDs. Maybe you hold an interest in Philips Media and the many development houses set up to cater for CD-i if so then this is the forum.

Letters in the old CD-i Magazines ...

Post by Bas » Sat Oct 15, 2005 4:27 pm

I just noticed Merijn sent in 'double dutch' in issue 12 of the UK CD-i Mag! It surprises me that i've never noticed that before!

Some more people who wrote to them...?

It's also remarkable to read a LOT of complaints of UKreaders about the lack of games on CD-i. Also the distribution network of Philips failed miserably especially in the latter years of the CD-i span. Apparantly most of them weren't able to pick up their favourite game or title.

I know Alan sent a letter in to one of the issues. Had the same feeling from reading these that the UK retail of CD-i failed to really take off.

Jorg Kennis sent the 'Play Out Book' on a 3,5" disc to the dutch cd-i magazine, with a full guide to Burn:Cycle. Back in these days he called his 'company' JojoSoft. Sweet memories :)
