Maybe you hold an interest in Philips Media and the many development houses set up to cater for CD-i if so then this is the forum.

Lost Boys offered the same kind of thing with video cd. Around 1995/1996 there were advertisements from them transferring raw video material formats (VHS, 35mm and so on) to digital VCD format. That was quite expensive at the time, around 10 guilders a MINUTE, that's 4 euro per minute.
