Indeed, thank them for solving it. Probably just a server problem! All right, forget the topic!

However, a nice opportunity to ask for some new updates, I love the Collective!

Greetings all,

Thanks for the kind words.

No, the Collective wasn't hacked per se. Just a issue. Problem has been though, that 2 of these server 'issues' ago, something weird happened. My site locked. Meaning I couldn't update. (yes, believe it or not, even with everything else I'm doing... and its alot, I've got updates for the 3DO AND the CD-i Collective!) Since my contact with my server host is spotty at best, its been a challange to even get to speak to them when I have free time. (our schedules are WAAAY far apart). So, barring any change in this status quo, I'm not sure when the next updates will be coming.

As to the reviews, lots more japanese 3DO games (and if I get time, I'll finish my review of a Japanese CD-i title), a couple 'why the F** were these games made' games for both systems --shudders at 'Alfred Hitchcock Presents'--, and a few requested reviews for CD-i titles.

Anyhow, figured I'd keep you folks updated for the moment. :) Have a great one!

Kanpai!

Great to see you around again Gir! :D

My offer still stands, you could join us under the CDinteractive network and enjoy around the clock connectivity with your server

Hi Gir, Nice to see you online again! Now you notice the popularity of the CD-i Collective is as big as ever, even without any updates lately! I hope you will be around to post more of them though! If I can be of any help, just let me know, I love to write more reviews for the Collective ;)

Howdy again,

Thanks for the kind words. It's good to hear that people still enjoy my work.

The thought of moving the collective (both CD-i & 3DO) has been on my mind lately. However, right now its just not feasable. I will be shortly taking a trip through various points in Asia and will be unavailable to work on the site until I get back.

Who knows what games I will bring back this time. Heh, last time I raided a place for Wonderswan titles for a friend. At the exchange rate, they were about $3 each for new titles. Not too bad at all. :) (If you want imports... go to a place where they aren't considered imports. Heh.)

I will give serious consideration to a move once I get back.

Greetings,

Well, howdy all, seems alot has happened in my absence. Anyone still intrested in CD-i reviews? I aquired a few 'asian themed' titles, and some kind of neat photo CD adventure games (a strange little Sailor Moon game comes to mind, still kawaii though!) while on vacation in Thailand.

Let me know as I am considering alot of titles to review, and have to finish screen caps of the reviews already done. I know the Photo CD games aren't CD-i specific, but are kind of intresting in a 'choose your own adventure' kind of way. (Though I must say, the amount of tentacle hentai porn versions of these discs was surprizing. heh)

Also, anyone intrested in the CD-i Collective relocating? Or is it fine where it is? (my problem with contacting with my host is still very real)

Well, let me hear from you folks.

Gir, how about some new title reviews? And how about the site? Updates on the Collective would be very much appreciated!

Hey Bas,

You know, I've got a lot waiting in the wings, just I am unable to update my site. Still trying to get my webmaster to unfreeze my sites, but getting a hold of him is proving difficult.

Once the sites are free, I can update both the CD-i and 3DO Collective sites. But its just hit & miss right now with my host. Thinking on new hosting tactics, but right now, time is a precious commodity and I have little of it. The offer from Devin is generous, but not wanting to overburden him. I think he's got a full plate with his various stuff he's hosting now. :-) Bandwidth is expensive!

Also, anyone intrested in the interactive PhotoCD angle? I've come across a few, and want to know if people would like reviews. They work on CD-i and 3DO quite well (and aparently the "Build It/ArrangeIt" software allows you to make them. So, if anyone has a 'choose your own adventure' type story they want to make into a PCD, they could go that route.)

it would be very cool to give some attention to those photocd's, I'm interested! Can you post some pics of them?

Too bad you cannot update the site anymore, reason to alarm devin to help, I'm sure he has plenty of time ;)

No but, he'll give you an ftp account so you can upload all your stuff, it would require more time from you than from him I guess. I hope you have a little :D

I'll see what I can do about getting some screenshots up this evening. Got a few projects to work on right now.

I have three days off of work now so I can make your FTP Account and Domain should you chose to bring The Collective over to CDinteractive.

At least the door will be open! :D
