Anything relating to CD-i can be discussed in this forum. From the multiple hardware iterations of the system to the sofware including games, reference, music and Video CDs. Maybe you hold an interest in Philips Media and the many development houses set up to cater for CD-i if so then this is the forum.

"CDi" (United Kingdom)
Published By Haymarket Publishing
First Published August 1994
CDi was the first real consumer-aimed CD-i magazine with some issues containing a cover disc. The disc on issue 2 was the famous Valkieser demo that was originally made for CD-I WORLD, containing some of the first MPEG clips ever published. Amongst other discs was the Micro Machines demo version. They consequently spelled CD-i as CDi. The last issue was thought to be number 19, published in August 1996. The last page said: "The Next issue of CDi magazine will be published on October 3. Frequentasne hunc locum?". The Latin text means "if it will ever happen", fortunately a 20th final issue did appear in the UK which included a preview of the last CD-i game released, "Solar Crusade".

well, now that you posted it, maybe a fellow member shows up offering you the first issue. I don't have the UK mags as i'm from the netherlands.
A sale forum may sound like a hole in the market, but i've seen them on other cd-i boards and they are not used very often. I'd recommend the better eBay channel, you'll reach a lot more people. Ofcourse if you need something l you can start a thread about it!

Hmm you'll have trouble tracking down the first issue, it's very uncommon even on ebay. I found mine through a private seller so who knows you may have some luck on these forums in the future!!
I've considered some form of trading post but then that attracts trouble if things go horribly wrong with a transaction. That doesn't mean you can't contact people in the forums if they have something for trade but we don't officially endorse such activity. So basically anything agreed for trade in these forums is between you and the seller we will not get involved.

just spoke with someone who can lend me the whole dutch back catalogue of the cd-i magazine. I hope to make lots of scans and upload it, that'd be nice. How about the copyright of these articles..?

That's certainly a grey area, i'd rather we seek permission from the publisher first. I suspect they wouldn't particularly care but it's best to follow the correct path.

Already have m8,
Tried to do a deal with him, was having none of it.
#And I sure the starting bid was £10, not £15.
What would you say they are worth?
He has most of the demo disks to.

Depends how much you value them to be honest, to most retrogamer collectors CD-i is very specialist and niche so probably not much to the masses. As long as you enjoy them who's to argue!!

I remember seeing this magazine in the US. It didn't sound too familiar until I saw the cover.
I don't think I knew what a CD-I was back then though.

EBay now has a CD-I category. This is fairly new.
