FS: VCDs, technical docs, cartridge, cartr.ROMS, mousepad

Anything relating to CD-i can be discussed in this forum. From the multiple hardware iterations of the system to the sofware including games, reference, music and Video CDs. Maybe you hold an interest in Philips Media and the many development houses set up to cater for CD-i if so then this is the forum.

FS: VCDs, technical docs, cartridge, cartr.ROMS, mousepad

Recently I sold my 220 with a package of software CDs and (mostly) VCDs. Cleaning up the attic revealed a few lonely forgotten VCDs...

UK discs (English language, no subtitles):
- The Best of Bon Jovi - Crossroads 2 disc set plus one Music Sampler disc from Polygram

- Masterworks - Vincent Van Gogh 26 masterpieces by Van Gogh analysed and commented

- Young Guns
- Quigley down under
- The Princess Bride
- The Pink Panther
- Diamonds are forever
- The Hunt for Red October

- Jeeves and Wooster British humour at its finest, this 2 disc set features the best episodes from Series 1 and 2

- The Outlaw Silver Screen Collectors Edition of the classic 1943 Howard Hughes western starring Jane Russell and Walter Huston.

English with Dutch subtitles:
El Cid 3 disc special remastered edition. Very good picture quality. Letterbox, with fixed Dutch subtitles in the black bar at the bottom, leaving the movie image undisturbed.

German (no subtitles):
- Battlefield Stalingrad

I would prefer to sell this as a lot. Make an offer.

Other trifles:
* I also have a Philips digital video cartridge 22ER9141 (type AH03) for sale. This is a new cartridge, unused.

* I have a set of 2 ROMs lying about, that belongs to a digital video cartridge 22ER9141 type VMPEG. Possibly for use with 605 players, but not sure. They have following markings:
"FMV 4BA9 P7307 - R4.1 VMPEG"
"FMV FFD9 P7308 - R4.1 VMPEG"

* Following technical documents I no longer need:
- Philips CD-I Pointing Devices. This 6 page document describes the roller controller, mouse, trackball and joystick (22ER9014). Aside from an elaborate description and technical specifications, the document on one page explains in technical detail (connectors, pin-outs, voltage levels, data flow and format, device ID sequence...) the CD-I pointing device standard.

- Technical Documentation for CDI 605T users. System Software Release 1.3. This 100 page manual explains descriptors, technical characteristics, serial port/input devices/floppy specifications, extensions, and much more.

Both documents are in good condition, no tears or folds.

* finally, a real Philips CD-i mousepad as delivered with the original Philips CD-i mouse. Dark gray in colour, with a white grid and circle, and the Philips logo and name on it. In its original plastic bag and in new condition. This is not like todays mousepads that are made from fabric - it is rather thin but very heavy, made from some kind of rubber or plastic.

Think about it, this item not only shows you are a true gentleman CD-i collector with exquisite taste, but you'll also be able to laugh in the face of those modern PC game jockeys that wrestle with inferior "SuperGripRazorPadDoomedDeluxeUnreal" pieces of cheap import chinese textile that pose as a mousepad. Ahem.

All offers entertained (wined, dined and footing the bill if found too light). Please keep shipping costs from EU Banana Republic #1 (Belgium) in mind.

Thank you for reading, have a nice weekend.

Bump.

No-one interested in these fine discs and other wonderful trinkets? If so they'll head for the recycler and another piece of *cough* priceless *cough* CDi history will be lost forever.

You don't want that on your conscience now do you?

Now if that little bit of moral blackmail doesn't do it I don't know what will

Since there are no other takers, I'll make you an offer. I don't really need most of it, but...

Hmm... must remember this blackmail tactic when flogging my CDi 605T soon... It works! :D

Still lots available, come on guys, just sign on the dotted line right under "Transferring all my worldly goods to KuroNeko..." - it's not hard, really

For those with slightly less than an ounce of sense of humour: I'll take just about any offer that keeps me drunk while packing it and pays for the gas to drive to the postoffice (once I'm sober again, of course).
