I've never bought or sold one, because I think they are too big and heavy.

I think they are too big for my own collection, although I love the design: very playful, late '80-like "moving sound" design, wonderful!

A big problem with the player is that it isn't very useful as a cdi player, because it didn't have a DVC option. So that leaves the authoring bit and the collectors item-bit as selling points.

They are uncommon on Marktplaats, and relatively rare on eBay, so I think you could get a better price for it on ebay. But again the weight is a problem. You need the "world-wide shipping" option for a good price on ebay, but shipping this thing internationally is going to be expensive, and bidders take that into account when bidding.
(I assume this player is over 5kg, just like the other first gen players)

I would be interested if the 182 unit was included, because that would make the player usable for development purposes.

Anybody have a loose 182 unit for sale?

From http://members.lycos.co.uk/philipsverza ... lbum0.html
weight is 11.5 kilo's ,dimensions are w x h x d - 362 mm x75 mm x 362 mm

over 10kg! that would make the unit very hard to sell on ebay.

shipping within Europe: between 30-40 euros, and shipping outside Europe 100,- euro!

now the 182 is very rare. I don't believe I have ever seen one for sale.
